Kingsman: Film review

My film review:
Kingsman: secret service

We all know that spy/ action films are great to watch especially Kingman: secret service the film is basically like James bond but more British, a bit fancier and has more than just one man playing the lead role.

The film is set in the south part of London in a housing estate and it is the story about Gary Unwin [Eggsy] who lost his father in a secret mission. A dapper agent names harry hart thinks that eggsy has a great potential to becoming a Kingsman, so harry takes eggsy to the special Kingsman training centre to be train and be picked as the new Kingsman while trying to stop an evil celebrity trying to take over the world.

The camera movement in this film mostly consists of extreme close ups, close ups, slow motion and point of view shots. This camera shots are show the audience that the film is existing and to let them know that it is a spy film. Another reason these shots are used is to make the audience to feel like they are in the film and to make the action scenes real. For example the scene where eggsy breaks into the villains secret hideout he fights some guards and jumps over him in slow motion in a medium shot to show that the shot is real and not cgi.

The cast of this great film is quite different to many action films because it has new faces and great legends of films. We have Colin Firth as Harry Hart, Taron Egerton as “Eggsy”, Mark Strong as Merlin, Samuel L. Jackson as Valentine, and Sir Michael Caine as Arthur and Mark Hamill as Professor Arnold. I think this is a good cast because it has a different variety of actors in the film and them all showed different sides of their personalities.

I like Kingsman: secret service because it was different to other spy films and I really loved the new techniques that are used in this film. For example using loads of quick changing shots and using slow motion. I would personally say to my friends to watch this film because it is fresh and unique and there is more to offer than just a spy film.
